Glass is in! And so
has it always been, over thousands of years…The translucent
characteristic of glass makes it unique as material. The colours change
in the light – they gleam, play, reflect… A few years ago I decided to let a new dimension enter my life – glass
making. Since then I have tried out many different techniques but fusing
is the method that caught my interest. Fusing consists of melting
together pieces of glass at approximately 800C. The starting point is a
set of two mostly plain glass sheets which are cut to desired patterns
and smelt together. As result you can get window and wall decorations,
plates, bowls, lanterns, and decorative objects of various arts. My
objects tell you that I have fun when I work. Only the fantasy can set
limits for the creativity. GLASKLART |
