Calmi Bergman

I work with 'fusing and slumping´ - a technique that goes back thousands of years
in our history, to the Roman Empire and specially Egypt.
The modern adaptation of this technique comes from the USA.
I make the glass dishes by forming figures and patterns of silver, brass and copper
which are then surrounded by transparent glass, and smelt in the kiln.
The pendants, ear rings and  rings are manufactured by compounding colourful bulls-
eye glass with silver and metal cast in glass. Strong colours appear and I try to enhance the beauty and the lustre of my glass jewellery.
