Sven-Olof Lundin

I made my first knife about 25 years ago. It is neither beautiful nor functional, but I still have it. Since then I have kept on making knives with various intensity. I spent a few years in the landscape of Dalarna and was inspired by the multitude of cutlers living there

The knife blades I use are forged by well-known blacksmiths (specialised on forging knife blades). For the handles I use different sorts of wood, and often wood in combination with e.g. horn or some other hard material. I use both Swedish and foreign wood sorts. For the moment I have a quantity of ebony at my disposal. The knife sheaths are made of leather, sometimes in combination with wood or horn.

In my small carpenter workshop in the cellar I have the possibility to work with various kinds of wood carving products
